New paintings

A look at the new paintings and hello from the studio!

I’m delighted to share a new collection of recent works with you. A small series that I will be continuing to expand on.

These paintings represent a move towards abstractions, which if you’ve followed my work for many years, you might recognise as my primary way of working. I am still inspired by the landscape but my focus is shifting towards an expression of an emotional landscape and an imagined, otherworldly space.

The process began with making many sketches and studies of a beautiful view that I see each day, letting the character and essence evolve as familiarity developed. Each painting holds a piece of my own experience and story along with the beauty and adoration I have for the spot.
